TIRUCHY: The members of the Tiruchy District Printers Association led by their President Rajasekaran offered floral tributes to the portrait of the late President Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, to commemorate his fourth death anniversary, at Tiruchy on Saturday.
In a release here on Sunday, Association’s Secretary Athi Ramesh said they also distributed free tree saplings to the general public for planting to mark the occasion, as Dr Kalam believed in greening India.
Similarly, at AVC college at Mannampanthal near Mayiladuthurai, the staff and students of the college led by the college secretary K. Karthikeyan offered floral tributes to a portrait of Dr Abdul Kalam.
Mr. Karthikeyan recalled the yeomen services rendered by Dr Kalam to the nation especially in the field of space research, having served the country in a selfless way. Dr Kalam inspired the youth also.
