Build trust with speedy justice, say Supreme Court judges

Justice Ramana said that judicial officers should give individual attention to each case that comes before them.

Hyderabad: Stating that subordinate courts play a crucial role in developing faith among citizens on the judicial system, the three Supreme Court judges hailing from the Telugu states asked judicial officers to build work culture for speedy and effective disposal of cases.

Supreme Court judges Justice N.V. Ramana, Justice Lavu Nageshwarar Rao and Justice R. Subash Reddy participated in the inauguration of the newly constructed court complex in the Secunderabad civil court premises built at a cost of Rs 12 crore.

Speaking at the function, in which city judicial officers attended, the three judges stressed on good administration in the lower courts to instil better work ethics.

Justice Ramana said that judicial officers should give individual attention to each case that comes before them.

Justice Nageshwara Rao said that the changing socioeconomic factors and shifting demands on our judicial institutions require that courts and their officers develop solutions that look beyond the short term.

Justice Subash Reddy expressed a strong need for a set of principles in judicial officers and advocates to render quality judicial services more efficiently to litigants.

Telangana High Court Chief Justice Raghaven-dra Singh Chauhan and his colleague judges, DGP Mahender Reddy and police commissioner Anjani Kumar participated in the programme.
