Kochi: The police probing the Abhimanyu murder case on Saturday detected the sixth accused Saneesh had supplied arms to the 15-member killer gang.

Cops also found that Mr Saneesh had swished a knife towards the SFI leader during the clash on the Maharaja's campus. However, they have no clarity on who exactly stabbed him.

“Two others in the gang had also carried arms in their hand,” an official said.

Mr Saneesh, whom the police took into custody a few days ago, was produced before a magistrate on Friday and remanded.

Meanwhile, Muhammad Rifa, state secretary of the Campus Front of India held from Bengaluru in this connection, will be produced before a magistrate soon.

The investigation team is seeking custody of Fazaluddin of Mattanch-erry, who is accused of aiding the killer gang to go into hiding.

Meanwhile, the cops have identified the presence of youth from Nettoor, Palluruthy and Aluva in the killer squad.

A few among these are currently believed to have left the state.

The police have so far arrested 15 persons including seven directly involved in the murder.
