Hyderabad: Students of the ZP High School, Midjil of Mahabubnagar district sent a WhatsApp message to the DEO along with an attached image of their maths teacher, K. Ramulu S.A. sleeping during school hours with a classroom full of students. The education department took immediate action and an order was issued by DEO stating that it was gross negligence by the teacher and it violated the code of conduct of teachers.
The order further states that the teacher has been suspended until disciplinary proceedings against him are complete. The accused will be paid subsistence allowance and has been ordered not to leave headquarters without obtaining permission from the DEO. The education department has asked students to make use of technology to expose such acts by government teachers.
The Balala Hakkula Sangham applauded the students for their presence of mind to send the photo which resulted in the suspension of the teacher.
