15 snakes rescued from various areas of Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Telangana Forest Department, the Sahayog organisation, People for Animals, the GHSPCA and other animal welfare organisations rescued 15 snakes from various parts of the city. The snakes were being transported for the Nagapanchami festival and snake welfare groups were on the lookout for those who were transporting snakes for the same.

Mahesh Agarwal, the general secretary of Sahayog Organisation said, “All the rescued snakes were cobras. They were dehydrated and defanged. They required immediate veterinary care.”
