CHENNAI: Welcoming more than 30,000 cadres of various political parties into the AIADMK, Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa on Thursday nudged them to work unitedly to ensure a massive win for the party in the ensuing local body elections.
More than 31,000 cadres and leaders of various parties like the DMK, Congress, TMC, MDMK and the Left joined the AIADMK in the presence of Ms Jayalalithaa. “You all should work unitedly for the AIADMK to register a massive win in the soon to be held local body elections… From now on, a new dawn will blossom in your political lives,” she said. Elections to the local bodies are expected in October.
