High tension pillars for Krishna Pushkaralu in Anantapur

Strong mesh to be fixed at the sensitive locations.

Anantapur: High tension line pillars with 100 metres width and 25 metres height would be fixed at hill area closer to Patalaganga as part of measures to prevent untoward incidents during the Krishna Pushkaralu in Srisailam.

The measures are proposed on the lines of Goddess Kanakadurga temple in Vijyawada where similar situation reported one year ago.

In the wake of controversial digging of hill during peak days of Krishna Pushkaralu and falling of rocks from hill en route to Patalaganga in Srisailam, the Collector Ch.Vijayamohan inspected the spot on Thursday and reviewed with the officials of all sections about the appropriate measures at the site where big rocks were falling and also causing inconvenience to the Pushkar Ghat works at Patalaganga.

Temple executive officer Bharath Guptha briefed over the proposed measures at the hill area and also other measures for Pushkaralu in and surrounding Srisailam.

“High tension pillars with deep in foundation along with strong mesh would be fixed at the sensitive location,” Collector Mr Vijayamohan said. Srisailam dam superintendent engineer K. Mallikarjuna Reddy said that the mesh would be laid on warfoot basis.

The collector directed the authorities to increase the height of bathing showers to 7 ft for the convenience of devotees to have a holy dip at the bathing ghats.
The collector expressed his over the R&B engineers for delaying the leveling of parking sites at Lingala Gattu. About 670 cubic metres of road work pending at upstream area of Lingala Gattu.

The approach towards Patalaganga would be laid with black top road to prevent damage during heavy rains.
