PM Modi holds review meet with chief secretaries on projects

VIJAYAWADA: Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a review meeting in virtual mode from Delhi on Wednesday with the secretaries of various central ministries and chief secretaries of state governments on the progress of various national projects being implemented across the country.

Chief secretary Jawahar Reddy along with some other officials participated in the meeting and explained to the PM the progress of the projects in AP.

The PM reviewed the status of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) being set up in various states, the works on the Delhi-Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, as also on the Chotadapur-Dhar broad gauge railway line, the Ratlam-Mahau-Khandwa-Akola railway line conversion and the Mumbai-Nagpur-Jhorsuguda pipeline.

Modi reviewed the progress of the projects related to Bailadila iron ore deposit and the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (Pyam Swanidhi) scheme.

Apart from the chief secretary, those present from AP side were energy special chief secretary K Vijayanand, water resources department principal secretary Shashi Bhushan, higher education PS Shyamal Rao, TR&B secretary Pradyumna, IT secretary K Sasidhar and PCCF AK Jha.
