Hyderabad: Plane crash-lands near dam, both fliers safe
Hyderabad: Two persons were injured when a private STOL (short take-off and landing) aircraft carrying two persons -landed near the Konda Pochampally project in Siddipet district late on Thursday evening. Police said the injured persons were admitted to a hospital in the city for treatment and are stated to be out of danger.
The aircraft -landed due to a technical snag. Locals who saw the plane -landing rushed the injured duo to a nearby hospital in an ambulance. After being given first aid, they were advised to undergo treatment at a city-based hospital.
Sources said “One of the injured persons has been identified as Bikram Randhawa. He is said to be a former Air Force personnel, who was training another person named Anshu.”
On Thursday, the duo went from Hyderabad to go Bhavanandapuram in Mulugu mandal and were returning to the city when the aircraft crash-landed due to a technical snag.
Siddipet commissioner Joel Davis said, “The incident happened during late on Thursday evening. The aircraft crash-landed due to some snag. The pilot has been identified as Randhawa. The injured persons are said to be out of danger now.”
