Online rummy only outside TS
The Hyderabad High Court on Wednesday asked the state government to allow certain companies that host online rummy games to carry on their business outside the state till further orders.
A division bench comprising acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice T. Rajani was dealing with petitions filed by Junglee Games India Pvt Ltd, Mumbai; Play Games 24x7 Pvt Ltd, Delhi; and Head Infotech (India) Pvt Ltd, Hyderabad, challenging an ordinance issued by the state government bringing online rummy under the Gaming Act by amending provisions of the Gaming Act, 1974.
