Ramesh Chennithala writes to Nadda on fever

He wanted the minister to depute an emergency team of health experts.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition Leader Ramesh Chennithala has shot off a letter to Union health minister J. P. Nadda seeking the centre's help to find out reasons for the rise in fever-related deaths, alleging that the state government had failed in tackling dengue, H1N1 and other forms of fever. He wanted the minister to depute an emergency team of health experts.

"The state health services have been a complete failure in controlling various types of fever. Unfortunately, so far the government machinery has been at a loss for words on the exact reason behind the mass casualties and people falling ill. Lack of trained experts and infrastructure are the reasons for the stumbling block," he said.
