No hallticket: 20-year-old aeronautical engineering student hangs himself

Bengaluru: Upset after over his college denying him exam admission ticket, a 20-year-old aeronautical engineering student hanged himself in Channasandra in Kadugodi police limits on Tuesday evening.

The deceased, Lokesh, was from Ballari. He was a fourth semester student at MVJ College of Engineering on Channasandra Main Road near Whitefield and was staying in an apartment in Channsandra.

Lokesh's friends who saw his body alerted the police.

Preliminary probe revealed that the college had denied the admission ticket to Lokesh as he did not have required attendance.

Lokesh and other students had reportedly protested against the management for denying them admission tickets.

As the exams were nearing, Lokesh was upset and took the extreme step.

The Kadugodi police have registered an unnatural death case and are investigating.
