Hyderabad: Telangana Southern Power Distribution Company has called upon people to follow precautions during the monsoon season, especially when it rain.
Do not walk under overhead power lines or touch iron poles, electrical installations like transformers during rain or gales.
Do not touch snapped wires; inform immediately the electricity department on phone numbers 1912, 100, 21111111.
In case of any electrical accident, do not touch the person who has come in contact with the live wire with bare hands.
Check internal electrical wiring in the house once in three years to plug electricity leakage and ensure ‘earthing’ is proper.
Do not allow the children to touch the distribution transformers structures, iron poles, wires and street lights.
Do not throw garbage into the distribution transformer fencing, which could cause short circuits.
Do not entrust electrical repair works to private electricians and unauthorised persons as unauthorised climbing of poles and transformers, is an offence.
