Adilabad: The Telangana state government has announced revised and enhanced pensions to all categories of its employees as a Telangana Formation Day bonanza and the hiked amounts will be paid from July 2019.

The pension has been hiked to Rs 2,016 from Rs 1,000 for the elderly, women who have lost thier husband,s weavers, toddy tappers, persons with HIV- AIDS, bidi workers, single women and filaria patients. For the disabled, the pension has been hiked to Rs 3,016 from Rs 1,500. The government issued Government Order 34 to his effect on Tuesday.
The hiked pensions under the Asara scheme is being implemented with effect from June and will be payable in July.
