Kanakadurga temple to provide kiosk for luggage to devotees

To coincide with the swearing-in of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Chief Minister.

Vijayawada: Kanakadurga temple executive officer V. Koteswaramma on Tuesday said that a kiosk to keep luggage and footwear has been set up at the temple.

She said that a poor devotee from Paloncha of Khammam district had appealed to the temple authorities to provide a kiosk where devotees could deposit their mobile phones for safekeeping. Following the request, the kiosk has been readied and would be thrown open to the public on May 30, to coincide with the swearing-in of Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as the Chief Minister.

Ms Koteswaramma said that the temple administration was making arrangements to avoid inconvenience to the devotees coming for darshan on May 29 and 30 in view of visits of VVIPs and VIPs.

Additional commissioner of police Chandrasekhar said that the police has made foolproof arrangements on the temple premises to avoid any untoward incident. He appealed to devotees to extend cooperation to the police department for aeasy darshan.
