Khammam: Three members of a family reportedly ended their lives by coming under a train in Madhira railway station on Monday. Their bodies were recovered from Platform No. 2 after they were run over by the Vijayawada-Guntur intercity express.
The victims were identified from their Aadhaar cards as Bunga Venkaiah, 47, his wife Rajani, 40, their daughter Rajani who are residents of Nehru Nagar in Guntur.
Police said Venkaiah used to work in an agricultural market at Guntur and the reason for suicide is unknown. Police found a ticket for the Guntur-Vijayawada intercity express.
It is suspected that they got down in Madhira and went under the train. Police is trying to collect other details by calling phone numbers available in their mobile phones.
