Bar Council tells Telangana, Andhra Pradesh advocates to give details

The first verification will be completed by end of June, 2016.

Hyderabad: The Bar Council of AP on Friday appealed to the advocates of TS and AP to submit their details before June 30 though the prescribed form available with the council so that they could be verified as per Verification of Certificate and Practice Rules framed by the Bar Council of India in 2015.

The general-body meeting of the Council, which was chaired by A. Narasimha Reddy, unanimously resolved to implement the rules strictly as the Supreme Court had also mandated their implementation. The first verification will be completed by end of June, 2016.

Bar Council member and BJP MLC N Ramachandra Rao said that as per the Rules, every advocate has to file at least five vakalats in a year and the Council has to verify and certify the practice of the advocate once every five years.
