Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee secretary and former TPCC president V. Hanumantha Rao on Sunday visited the family members of S. Jyothi who committed suicide after the release of Intermediate examination results and consoled the family members. He also offered them 50,000 as financial assistance.
The family has been distraught after the incident and they were not able to come to terms with the tragedy that has befallen them, he said adding that the girl's mother Anusuya and father Anjaiah were inconsolable. Mr Hamnumanth Rao said, "It is very unfortunate. The government has miserably failed in taking up this issue and resolving it soon."
