Hyderabad: ‘Husband’ stops remarriage of woman by family

Sanjeev went to the marriage venue with a search warrant issued by the court in Medchal.

Adilabad: A marriage was stalled at the last moment in Adilabad town when the bride’s first husband appeared on the scence claiming that their marriage was not annulled. The incident took place in Krishnanagar colony in the Adilabad town on Sunday.

The man, Mr N. Sanjeev of Rebbena mandal in Kumarabheem Asifabad alleged that parents of the girl performing the second marriage of Ms Madhuri illegally. He said their marriage was held in April of last year at Aryasamaj.

Mr Sanjeev went to the marriage venue with a search warrant issued by the court in Medchal. He was accompanied by an advocate from Hyderabad. He alleged that his father-in-law Mesram Chandrabhan, who is a sub-inspector in the special branch police at Adilabad, forced his wife Madhuri for the second marriage.

He also alleged that his wife's parents took her to an undisclosed place to prevent him from meeting her.

The local police said that the marriage was stalled following the complaint and search warrant brought by the Sandeev.
