Hyderabad: The East Anand Bagh road underbridge (RuB), whose work has been in progress for four and a half years with frequent delays and obstructions, has once again come into the limelight after a resident posted an inquiry regarding the status of the RuB in the ‘#askKTR’ session with TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao.
In a tweet directed towards Mr Rama Rao, the resident wrote, “You clearly only respond to the tweets which give you mileage in the media, because you haven’t been responding to my tweets about the East Anand Bagh RuB completion.”
Soon, Mr Rao apologised for not responding, and asked principal secretary, municipal administration, Arvind Kumar, to get an update. The official responded with details soon after.
“The construction of the RuB is managed by the roads and buildings department, while its railway portion has been completed. The pending work is held up due to the delay in land acquisition because of the court cases,” he said.
The Uttam Nagar RuB work, which started around the same time as the East Anand Bagh RuB work, has been completed, and the RuB is operational now.
