According to SP, K.K.N.Anbu Rajan, Rs 1 lakh was seized at the Vampalli checkpost in Srika-lahasthi.
Nellore: Unaccounted cash of Rs 5.50 lakhs was seized by the election squad manning the check posts in different police stations under Tirupati urban police limits on Thursday.
According to SP, K.K.N.Anbu Rajan, Rs 1 lakh was seized at the Vampalli checkpost in Srika-lahasthi, Rs 90,000 was seized at Nela-balli checkpost un-der Thottambedu limits, Rs 74,500 was seized at checkpost in Renigunta limits. The cash was confiscated after they failed to produce any documents to prove that it is accounted money. Similarly Rs 1,06,000 was seized by the checkpost staff at Srikalahasti and Rs 1,80,000 was seized during checks by surveillance team near Alipiri.
