Hyderabad: Chief Secretary S.P. Singh has directed all departments to complete the process of identification and categorisation of the schemes under SC, ST Special Development Funds.
Mr Singh reviewed the implementation of the new Act brought in by the TS government with all secretaries on Tuesday. In the meeting, principal finance secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao gave a circular to all the secretaries regarding the schemes to be implemented under the SDF and categorisation of the beneficiaries under different schemes and monitoring mechanism.
Mr Rao said that chief advisor to the TS government Rajiv Sharma will conduct department-wise review meetings on this issue. Mr Singh said that as per the provisions of the Act, there is a need to track and account for the expenditure under each of the schemes, beneficiary-wise, category-wise and caste-wise.
