Big fight in AP Assembly over SSC paper leak'

To protest the decision, YSRC MLAs raised slogans. Minister Dr P. Narayana denied that papers were leaked.

Vijayawada: The Assembly was adjourned thrice on Tuesday with the YSRC demanding an adjournment motion to discuss the Class 10 question paper ‘leak’. The Speaker turned the YSRC down.

To protest the decision, YSRC MLAs raised slogans. Minister Dr P. Narayana denied that papers were leaked.

The YSRC had produced a report of the director of school education confirming the leak of the physics on March 25. They demanded the resignation of Mr Narayana and Ganta Srinivasa Rao.

The YSRC alleged that there was a proof that a water boy named Prav-een Kumar of Narayana School in Nellore had leaked the paper over WhatsApp.

The DEO had lodged a police complaint, the MLAs said. Kumar had taken a snapshot of the question paper in Room 7 of Narayana School. The government had suspended an invigilator.

The YSRC stuck to this issue in the Assembly for the whole day. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, said there was malpractice, but no ‘leak’.
