Telangana building cyber security framework: official
Hyderabad: The Telangana government is in the process of building a cyber security framework, a senior official said.
Stressing that the government realises the importance of cyber security issue, Special Commissioner (e-Governance) & Commissioner (Electronic Service Delivery), G T Venkateshwar Rao said, "The IT department is going to come up with cyber security framework. Currently we are working on that."
Speaking at Cyber Space Defence Summit 2016, organised by Computer Society of India (CSI), Hyderabad Chapter, he said suggestions would be invited from experts to frame a policy in this regard going forward.
Rao also said the government would launch its information technology (IT) policy on April 4. It would be unveiled by Infosys co-founder N R Narayana Murthy, in the presence of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and IT Minister K T Rama Rao.
Claiming that Telangana is number one in the country in terms of providing online citizen services, Rao said, "We serve more than one lakh citizens a day through online platform".
