Secunderabad railway station ranked 23rd on clean list
Visakhapatnam: The Secunderabad railway station was ranked the 23rd cleanest in the country, according to a survey conducted under the Swachh Rail, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. It topped all stations in the two Telugu states. The Hyderabad station was ranked 47 among 75 A1 category stations.
In AP, Tirupati was ranked at 38, Vizag at 42 and Vijayawada was rated the 45th cleanest station in the A1 category.
In all, 75 ‘A1’ and 332 ‘A’ category stations were ranked for cleanliness based on passenger feedback. Feedback was also collected from non-railway survey providers at stations and railway officials who are part of the Service Improvement Group.
Passengers were asked to rate the stations on 40 parameters including infrastructure and outcomes connected with cleanliness. The survey was conducted by the Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation through questionnaire-based interviews with passengers.
