Mysuru scion Yaduveer's birthday bash to be a family affair

Though the birthday was on March 24, it is celebrated as per his birth star (Janma Nakshathra-Anuradha Nakshathra) on March 29.

Mysuru: It’s celebration time for the royal family of Mysuru which is all set to host the birthday of Mysuru scion Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar on Tuesday, the first one after his coronation at Mysuru Palace.

According to royal family sources, there will not be any party or invitees for the event which will be a family affair. There will only be poojas, palace sources told Deccan Chronicle. These include Ganapathi pooja, Navagraha Homa, Aayushya Homa and other poojas.

The royal family has sent letters to Chaluvanarayanaswamy temple at Melkote for prasadam. Prasada will also be sent from Chamundeswari temple in Chamundi hills, Srikanteswara temple in Nanjangud and others, according to sources. However, the palace will not remain closed for tourists.

The poojas will be held on the first floor of Mysuru Palace board office, where there are temples of Chamundeswari of Chamundi hills, and Jwalamuki Tripura Sundaradevi of Utnalli, Palace Board sources told Deccan Chronicle. Though the birthday was on March 24, it is celebrated as per his birth star (Janma Nakshathra-Anuradha Nakshathra) on March 29.
