Covid-19 to fizzle out: Experts

If there are cases of Covid-19 even after November, it will mean that it has survived and is now another flu that strikes in the winters.

Hyderabad: What will happen with Covid-19? This is the question haunting many as it has already spread across 53 countries and created a mass hysteria across the world.

Medical experts state that Covid-19 has so far behaved like the SARS virus which means that it will die out on its own. To assess this proposition, the winter of 2020 will be the test.

If there are cases of Covid-19 even after November, it will mean that it has survived and is now another flu that strikes in the winters.

By that time, the human body will too develop immunity against the virus, stated experts who are hopeful that the human body will deal with it. The mortality in China is two per cent and outside China is one per cent. The infected cases in China are 83,106 of which 36,525 have recovered and 35,230 are mild infections, 8,493 are critical and there have been 4,132 deaths.

There are 14 deaths outside China and a total of 4,545 cases outside China.

This data shows that those who have recovered have immunity to fight it. The next season will be a challenge but will also show how virulent the virus is, whether it has mutated, adapted to the local climate of the country or simply died out.
