Pinarayi Vijayan slams PM Modi's remarks
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his remarks that the ruling party in Kerala disrespected state's culture.
The chief minister said this while inaugurating the public meeting held in connection with the 10th national conference of Bank Employees Federation of India(BEFI).
He said such statements did not behove the post that he is occupying .
The man who is giving all kinds of protection to those who are out to ruin the country's culture and traditions, is now talking about Kerala, the chief minister said
Mr. Vijayan said it was not communist government but Modi's disciples' the Sangh Parivar who were unleashing violence to destroy the state's culture.
The Sangh Parivar is trying to destroy the pluralism and secular fabric of the nation, he chief minister said.
"Kerala strongly upholds its secular traditions and brotherhood and that is the reason why Sangh Parivar is trying to creating unrest here," the chief minister added.
