But, he died on Sunday night. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Chennai: An eight-year-old boy died on Sunday night after a snake bit him near his house in Chithamur village in Kancheepuram.
The deceased was identified as Mukesh, son of Mani (33), a farmer and resident of Kottivakkam in Chithamur.
The incident happened around 11 am on Saturday, when the boy was returning home along with his friends after attending the Republic Day function in his school, in Chithamur.
As they were walking under a tree near his house, a snake fell on his neck and bit his hand. Mukesh screamed for help and neighbours rushed him to the Chengalpattu government hospital.
But, he died on Sunday night. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
