Hyderabad: The GHMC on Thursday imposed a fine of Rs l lakh on More Supermarket for damaging roads by letting out water. Khairatabad GHMC zonal commissioner Mohammed Musharraf Ali Faruqui said the store in Erramanzil had been continuously damaging the roads even though it had been repaired several times.
Mr Musharaf said the corporation would continue its drive. Last week a building owner in Secunderabad was fined Rs 10,000 for leaving construction debris on the road.
The penalty was based on complaints received from local residents.
