Thiruvananthapuram: BJP state president P.S. Sreedharan Pillai claimed that CPM leaders’ wives attended Ayyappa Jyothi on Wednesday and added that the CPM leadership will never be able garner so much support.
He said after the Ayyappa Jyothi, the CPM realised that it was not going to be easy. Mr Pillai maintained that the Women Wall conveyed a negative message leading the LDF to change its stand. The BJP chief claimed that CPM leaders’ wives didn't allow photos to be taken for fear of the CPM. He opined that while CPM was a sinking ship, the Congress had expired. He also claimed that more party workers from the CPM and Congress are flocking to the BJP.
“Initially the CPM had claimed that they will include only Hindu women in the protest. But now they are including minority women too which indicates that Women’s Wall protest is already a failure,” Mr Pillai said.
He added it is the duty of the BDJS to respond to their absence at the Ayyappa Jyothi while saying BDJS stand has always been with the devotees.
