Bengaluru: Four held for painter's murder

The DJ Halli police have taken the four into their custody for further investigation.

Bengaluru: Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 28-year-old man in D.J. Halli police station limits on Tuesday night.

The deceased has identified as Jagadeesh Kumar, a resident of Doddanna Nagar and was working as a painter. The arrested accused has been identified as Sharath, 22, Arun, 21, Appu, 22 and John Peter, 22.

According to the police a fight over a petty issue between Jagadeesh and Arun led to former’s murder. The fight got intense when Arun in fit of anger along with his friends started hitting Jagadeesh with an iron pipe and fled.

The passerby alerted the police who rushed to the spot and shifted Jagadeesh to NIMHANS for first aid and later took him to Victoria hospital for further treatment, where he succumbed on Wednesday night.

The DJ Halli police have taken the four into their custody for further investigation.
