BJP wants Telangana government to explain ISC fiasco

Hyderabad: The Indian Science Congress was cancelled by the state government intentionally, denying an opportunity to raise the name and fame of the prestigious university and was an insult to the people of Telangana, BJP state president Dr. K. Laxman, MLA, said on Wednesday. At a meeting here, he said, “It is really surprising to learn that a state fighting with terrorism for a long time is willing to organise the science congress and Telangana, considered to be one of the safe, expressed security concerns as a reason for cancellation of the scheduled programme’’.

“The BJP understands that the meeting, scheduled to be attended by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was cancelled by Telangana government with a mala fide intention,’’ he added.
