Hyderabad High Court directs Registry to post plea on burqa-clad voters

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Tuesday directed its Registry to post the plea of Congress party candidate from Nampally constituency in the city, Mohammed Feroz Khan and also another petition by MBT leader Majidullah Khan seeking to direct the EC to take steps to identify the burqa-clad voters when they come to vote on Dec. 7 , before the bench headed by the Chief Justice.
A bench comprising Justice Raghvendra S. Chauhan and Justice M. Satyanarayana Murthy while hearing two petitions, opined that prayers in the petitions seems like Public Interest in nature. The bench said all the matters relating to elections were perusing by the Chief Justice’s Bench and it directed the Registry to list both petitions before the bench.
