In an unexpected development, Kukatpally Assembly constituency TRS in-charge and senior leader Gottumukkala Padma Rao resigned from the party on Tuesday. He met AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at Amaravati and told him that he would work for the victory of the TD candidate Nandamuri Suhasini from Wednesday.
After meeting with Naidu, Padma Rao told the media, that he had treated the “TRS as my home and K. Chandrasekhar Rao as my father”. But the TRS had done injustice to many leaders including him, he alleged. He also alleged that Mr Rao had forgotten the Telangana issue completely and the TRS was getting sidetracked.
