Constitution is Dharma for all: Karthikeya Misra
KAKINADA: District collector Karthikeya Misra said that the Indian Constitution is the dharma for people, which was approved on November 26, 1949 and it confers every citizen freedom, and equality before law and incorporates provisions for social uplift.
Indian Constitution Day was observed on Monday. In this connection, Mr Misra garlanded the statue of Dr B.R. Ambedkar at Indrapalem Bridge here and paid rich tributes to him. He said that the inspiration and guidance given by Dr B.R.Ambedkar in drafting the constitution was invaluable. Constitution approval pledge stating the provisions of constitution for the people was taken by the officials of various departments at collectorate on Monday. Joint Collector A.Mallikarjuna, Joint Collector-2 J.Radhakrishna Murthy, District Revenue Minister M. Jitendra, Social Welfare Deputy Director Ms Sobha Rani and others were at present.
In Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK), Vice-Chancellor V.S.S. Kumar paid rich tributes to Dr B.R. Ambedkar. He said that due to the constitution, prepared by Dr Ambedkar, the citizens of India were living with a freedom without having differences.
