Nitin Gadkari slams family rule' in Telugu states

Good governance, development, anthyodaya and nationalism were the four pillars on which BJP-ruled states were progressing, he said.

Hyderabad: Flaying both the Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh governments, Union minister Nitin Gadkari said that the states were being run by family members who had no concern for the welfare of the people.

Speaking at the BJYM Yuva Maha Adhinivesan, Mr Gadkari said that by linking the Krishna and Pennar rivers, the then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee had dreamt of taking water to the last village in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states.

He said that the Modi government was committed to making that dream come true.

Good governance, development, anthyodaya and nationalism were the four pillars on which BJP-ruled states were progressing, he said.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis recalled how the late Pramod Mahajan had identified the power of Yuva Morcha and made it a strong organisation. He said the Morcha alone had the capability to get votes cast in favour of BJP through a smile. Positive winds in favour of BJP were blowing strongly and it was a matter of time before the entire nation would be saffronised, he said.
