Hyderabad: A woman killed her six-year-old daughter by covering her head with a plastic bag and filling it with gas from a cylinder and committed suicide in the same way at their residence in Mettuguda.
According to the police, Aarthi's husband Siddharth had died of a heart attack four months ago and she was depressed since then, which is the suspected reason behind the murder and suicide.
“She killed her daughter, Tashi, 6, by covering her face with a plastic bag and forcing her to inhale the gas from a cylinder and she too followed the same method to end her life,” a police officer said.
Following a call to the police station by the locals, the Chilkalguda police visited the spot and started investigation, after which a case was booked and the bodies were shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for postmortem.
