Tirupati: Antelope rescued from wild dogs

When the sleuths of the bomb squad spotted the chase, they rushed forward and managed to control the wild dogs which fled back later.

Tirupati: In a brave act, the sleuths of the bomb squad who were on duty near the Bata Gangamma Temple in Tirumala, saved an antelope from the attack by wild dogs on Saturday.

According to the locals, on Saturday morning a group of wild dogs chased an antelope from the forest area near the Bata Gangamma temple, the trekking route to Papavinasanam. The antelope had already sustained injuries in the attack.

When the sleuths of the bomb squad spotted the chase, they rushed forward and managed to control the wild dogs which fled back later.

The sleuths informed the forest officials, who rushed to the spot and the veterinarians tended to the injuries of the antelope. After treatment, it was taken to be released in a nearby forest area, officials said.
