Hyderabad: Engineering student A. Saikiran, 19, was killed and his two friends Prudhvi and Shakeel were injured when a pick-up van hit the two-wheeler on which they were riding at Vanasthalipuram.
The three students, natives of Jagtial district, were first year students at the Bharat Engineering College in Ibrahimpatnam. They were going to Hasthinapuram to visit a friend who was undergoing treatment at a hospital.
“We are verifying if the vehicle hit the bike or the bike rammed into the van.” Vanasthalipuram inspector S. Murali Krishna said. The van driver fled from the spot. Police is on the lookout for him.
