Hyderabad: A multistoried commercial-cum-residential building, which is allegedly being constructed in violation of municipal rules without providing minimum open space, is causing traffic congestion on East Marredpally road, local residents aver.

According to people residing at this locality, several complaints were made to GHMC officials, but they allegedly preferred to remain silent. Victor, a resident of West Marredpally, said the under-construction building, which is coming up in front of St John’s Church in East Marredpally, is in the news for wrong reasons.
“The construction materials are being illegally dumped on the main road causing a lot of inconvenience to pedestrians and motorists near the Eshwari Bai statue,” he said.
He said the dumping of construction material on the road makes navigable space narrower and affects the movement of traffic.
