SCR holds meet with MPs on railways
Hyderabad: MPs raised several issues related to railway developmental work, pending projects and services in their respective constituencies during their meeting with SCR General Manager Vinod Kumar Yadav at Rail Nilayam on Thursday.
Their demands included construction of new lines, introduction of trains, extension of existing services and additional stoppages. The MPs also wanted road overbridges and underbridges and providing improved passenger amenities. Mr Kumar said the feedback from the MPs would help the railways finalise infrastructural developmental plans. Mr Yadav said the state government had released Rs 50 crore towards MMTS Phase-II. He said all unmanned level crossings would be eliminated by the end of October. He said all important stations would be provided with lifts.
