Vijayawada: Controversial MLA from Denduluru in West Godavari district, Chintamaneni Prabhakar has challenged Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan to an open debate on the cases he has against him.
On Wednesday, Mr Pawan Kalyan had slammed Mr Prabhakar in his constituency Denduluru, accusing him of emerging as a force above the Constitution.
Mr Prabhakar on Thursday questioned why Mr Pawan Kalyan was not talking about the Rafale deal, Special Category Status and corruption cases against YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy instead of targeting him.
He said that the Jana Sena chief was talking without proper knowledge and was uttering whatever script he was given by his aides. He also dared Mr Pawan Kalyan to contest against him from the Denduluru constituency in the upcoming polls.
Mr Prabhakar asked him to prove with whom he had behaved in a highhanded manner. He asked Mr Pawan Kalyan if he could pose such questions to Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy in Pulivendula.
Telugu Desam MLA Bonda Uma Maheswar Rao too found fault with Mr Pawan Kalyan for his comments on Mr Prabhakar. Mr Maheswar Rao asked why Mr Pawan Kalyan did not see Mr Prabhakar in such a light when his party Jana Sena supported the TD in the last polls.
