Congress takes up discussion on manifesto

Mr Rajanarasimha said a welfare council would be announced for the development of unorganised sections.

Hyderabad: The manifesto committee chaired by former deputy chief minister Damodar Rajanarasimha said the party if it came to power would abolish the Contributory Pension Scheme for state government employees and implement Interim Relief (IR) and Pay Revision Commission (PRC). He said a corpus fund would be created with Rs 4,000 crore to help farmers.

After a meeting at Gandhi Bhavan, Mr Rajanarasimha said a welfare council would be announced for the development of unorganised sections.

“The Reddy community has approached us for a corporation with corpus fund. The government has not cared about the Telangana employees who moved to Andhra Pradesh during the distribution of employees,” he said.
