Jangaon TRS MLA seeks lake land probe
Hyderabad: TRS Jangaon legislator Muttireddy Yadagiri Reddy on Wednesday lodged a complaint against collector A. Sri Devasena with Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudana Chary and Chief Secretary S.P. Singh and requested them to probe the allegations levelled by her and take appropriate action.
The collector had alleged on Tuesday that the legislator had encroached on land belonging to the Jangaon Bathukamma kunta.
He made a representation to the Speaker alleging that his rights as a legislator have been breached by the collector by levelling false allegations to defame him in public.
He told Mr Singh that he had no objection to a full-scale inquiry into the issues concerning the lake, and was prepared to face any punishment.
Speaking to mediapersons later at the Secretariat, Mr Yadagiri Reddy said he would meet Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in this regard and seek an inquiry.
While denying the purchase of temple land, he challenged the collector to prove her allegation “She had something in her mind,” he said.
