According to police, the incident happened around 2.30 am when Rizwan Shamshuddin was driving his way back home from Karnataka.
Kochi: It was a miraculous escape for a 38-year-old from Fort Kochi, when the car he was driving rammed into the handrail of the Ambattukavu Metro Station in the wee hours of Tuesday.
According to police, the incident happened around 2.30 am when Rizwan Shamshuddin was driving his way back home from Karnataka.
Mr Shamshuddin is learnt to have told the police that a big gutter just ahead of the Ambattukavu metro station had caused the accident as he lost control of the car after it dropped into the gutter and rammed into the handrail.
The impact of the hit was very high that the handrail, which pierced through the left corner of the car came out through the rear right, without hurting Mr Shamshuddin.
