GHMC commissioner said that he would lay emphasis on land acquisition for all infrastructure projects.
Hyderabad: GHMC commissioner D.S. Lokesh Kumar on Tuesday said that the government had asked him to focus on infrastructure projects along with sanitation in the city.
Soon after assuming his new post, Mr Kumar said that the government has asked him to expedite the progress of all flagship programmes including the Strategic Road Development Plan (SRDP), housing project for the poor, nala widening, and improving the condition of roads and city sanitation. He said that he would lay emphasis on land acquisition for all infrastructure projects. However, it remains to be seen how he manages to get funds for the projects.
