Chennai: Man taken into custody for temple blast

Rafik ran his scrap shop near the temple and they suspect that he might have left the explosive materials.

Chennai: A 45-year-old man who runs a scrap shop in Manampathi was taken into custody by the police for his alleged connection in the Gangai Kondan temple blast in Manampathi temple on Sunday.

The suspect identified as Rafik, a resident of the village runs a scarp shop near the Manampathi police station was being investigated by the police on suspicion.

Based on the information given by the locals Rafik was rounded up by the cops in the Thiruporur bus terminus.

According to the police, Rafik ran his scrap shop near the temple and they suspect that he might have left the explosive materials in the spot when he moved his shop to another place. He is being investigated.
