Kannada rapper in dock for promoting marijuana
According to a CCB official, Chandan in his new rap song released in July promoted the use of ganja.
Bengaluru: The Central Crime Branch officials issued a notice to a Kannada rapper Chandan Shetty for promoting marijuana in his new song.
According to a CCB official, Chandan in his new rap song released in July promoted the use of ganja. The song went viral on social media. “He has a huge fan following and if he promotes a banned drug, there are chances of a large number of his fans getting addicted to it. It also amounts to violation of NDPS act so we had issued notice to him,” he said.
Chandan was asked to appear before the CCB on Monday, but he did not turn up. “We will wait for a couple of days and if he fails to appear, necessary action will be taken against him,” the officer said.
