Kannur: Ajit Balakrishnan, the founder and CEO of Rediff.com, will address budding entrepreneurs on the Kannur University Thalassery campus on September 4.
He will talk about ‘top three mistakes an entrepreneur must avoid’ during the annual start-up meet of the varsity's Business Incubation Centre (BIC) of which he is the chief mentor.
One of its organizers and department of management studies associate professor Dr U. Faisal said the interaction would be a great opportunity for the young entrepreneurs to have a better understanding of the challenges ahead.
"It'll give insights on how to better go about with their ventures," he told DC.
Mr Balakrishnan, who had completed two five-year terms as the chair of IIM-Calcutta is presently working as the MHRD nominee on the National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training & Research (NITTTR), Kolkata board, working on curriculum reforms in the polytechnics in Bihar, Odisha, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim.
He is also the IT ministry nominee on the board of Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) and the Hi-Power IT Committee of Kerala.
